Returning favorites will include “Touch-a-Havertown-Fire-Truck” featuring emergency vehicles from Haverford Township Fire Stations, an antique car display, live falcons from Baywings Falconry and a display of micro-scale models of Main Line train stations by members of ColonialLUG.Īs a longtime community event, the Heritage Festival will also host many of Haverford Township’s local non-profits and community organizations, including the Grange Estate, Surrey Services, local Boy Scouts Troops, Friends of Haverford Trains, Kelly Music for Life, Haverford Township Free Library and many more. History and the Black American Revolutionary War experience come alive when Noah Lewis portrays Ned Hector, a Pennsylvania hero. Attendees can meet representatives of the Lenape Nation, Robert Mouland marionettes, PA Mayflower Society, and the 3rd Regiments USCT. ![]() History will come to life with live demonstrations of weaving, blacksmithing, and candle dipping, as well as spinning and quill writing by Colonial Plantation. The Festival features living history exhibits, live music and dancing, delicious food and a beer garden offering craft brews from some of the area’s finest microbreweries. The 2022 Heritage Festival will continue the tradition of celebrating local history and culture with friends and families of all ages in the beautiful natural setting by Cobbs Creek. To that end, organizers will encourage Heritage Festival attendees to make a donation of $2 per person or $10 per family to support the Haverford Township Historical Society’s programs. After a two-year break due to COVID, this popular spring event will raise funds for the Historical Society’s important restoration campaigns and educational programs.
